Rotate PDF Pages
Turn pages that are on their side or upside down, one at a time or all at once. It all happens on your device, so nothing is uploaded. The saved PDF counts as one file on your account.
Turn PDF pages that are sideways or upside down the right way up, one page or as many as need it, and save a new PDF.
Nothing is uploaded
Your files open in your browser and everything happens there, on your device. Filebender never receives them: you still need your account, and it counts the PDF you make as one of your files, by its type and size.
See every page
Each page is shown as a picture, so you can check the order, turn pages the right way up and spot the ones to take out before you save.
Nothing recompressed
Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable and pictures keep their quality. No plan has ads, and nothing is stamped on your pages.
How to rotate the pages of a PDF
- Create a free account with Google or your email address, or sign in.
- Choose a PDF, or drop it on the box.
- Press a page's turn button to turn it a quarter turn clockwise, or turn every page at once with “Turn all clockwise” or “Turn all anticlockwise”. You can drag pages into order or take some out too.
- Press “Save PDF” and download the new file. Your original isn't changed.
Turning pages
Each page shows as a picture with its turn button picked out. One press turns it a quarter turn clockwise, two turn it upside down, and three turn it a quarter turn the other way. Only the pages you turn change, and each picture turns with its page, so you can check the result before saving.
For a document scanned on its side or upside down, Turn all clockwise and Turn all anticlockwise, above the pages, turn every page a quarter turn with each press.
Nothing is redrawn
Rotating sets which way up a page is shown; the page itself isn't redrawn or recompressed, so text stays sharp and searchable and pictures keep their quality.
Why PDFs open sideways
Scanners and phone apps often save a page on its side, and a landscape page in a portrait document can end up the wrong way round. Once the turned pages are saved, every PDF reader opens them upright.
More than turning
The same view lets you drag pages into order and take out ones you don't need, so a scanned document can be put right in one go.
It all happens in your browser without uploading the PDF, but you do need to be signed in to your account, and the saved PDF counts as one file.

Questions
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Turn that page and save; every other page stays exactly as it was.
Is rotating the same as straightening a crooked scan?
No, rotating turns a page by quarter turns. To straighten slightly crooked scanned pages, use Make a PDF Searchable, which straightens them as it adds text.
Will it stay rotated when I send it?
Yes. The new way up is saved in the PDF itself, so it opens that way for anyone.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Your PDFs open in your browser and everything happens there, on your device, so they never leave it. You still need your account: Filebender counts the PDF you make as one file, by its type and size, never its name or what's in it. The one exception is a damaged PDF your browser can't open: Filebender can repair it on its servers, but only if you say yes, and it's deleted an hour after it's repaired.
Does it use up my allowance?
Each merge, split or reorganised PDF counts as one file, however many pages or PDFs go into it or come out of it, so a split into ten PDFs is still one file. If something goes wrong and nothing is made, it doesn't count.
Can I use a password-protected PDF?
Not one that needs a password to open: open it with its password in a PDF reader, save a copy without one, and add that copy. A PDF that opens without a password but limits printing or editing works, as long as you're allowed to change it.
Is anything lost?
The pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable and pictures keep their quality. Bookmarks aren't carried over, and form fields may stop being fillable.
Why do I need an account?
Every plan needs an account, including the free plan. Your daily allowance and any pass you buy are kept with your account, and accounts keep automated abuse out. Making one costs nothing, with Google or your email address, and you can start converting as soon as it's ready.
