Make an Icon Set
Turn one picture into a full set of icons: favicon, app icons and more.
The Icon Set Maker turns one picture into every icon size you need at once: a favicon set for a website, general app icons, or the sizes iOS and Android ask for. Each size is a square PNG named by its size, and they come together in one ZIP.
Almost any file
Images, vector art, video, audio, documents, spreadsheets, slides, ebooks and archives: more than 400 conversions. Before anything runs, Filebender says what a conversion will lose and estimates the size of video, audio and many pictures; other files show their size once converted. It compresses PDFs, pictures and videos to the size you choose.
No ads, no watermarks
With a free account: 20 files a day, 2 of them videos, each up to 500 MB. No plan has ads, and nothing is stamped on your files. A pass is one payment that never renews, and one you haven't used can be refunded in full.
Private by default
Files are deleted an hour after converting, or at once when you ask, and photo location is removed unless you choose to keep it. Photos converted to JPG, PNG or WebP are done on your device when your browser can, so they never leave it. They still need your account and count towards your plan.
How to make an icon set
- Create a free account with Google or your email address, or sign in.
- Choose your files: drop them on the box, pick them from your computer, open them from Google Drive, or paste a link.
- Enter the new size in pixels or as a percentage. The gear button has more settings.
- Press “Resize”, then download each file, or all of them in one ZIP.
The sets
Favicon: 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 pixels, for browser tabs, bookmarks and phone home screens. App icons: 16, 32, 48, 128 and 512 pixels. iOS: 13 sizes from 20 to 1024 pixels. Android: 6 sizes from 48 to 512 pixels. The set is chosen on the page, before you press Resize.
The starting picture
An SVG gives the crispest set, because it's drawn afresh at a large size before the icons are made from it. A PNG should be square, transparent and at least as big as the largest icon in the set, up to 1024 pixels for iOS. A smaller one is enlarged and looks soft at the top sizes.
Pictures that aren't square are centred, with transparent space filling the rest of each icon.
Where it's made
Icon sets are made on Filebender's servers. Your picture is uploaded, the set is made from it, and everything is deleted an hour after converting.

Questions
Is there an ICO file in the set?
No, the sets are PNGs. For a favicon.ico, turn your picture into an ICO with PNG to ICO; that one file holds sizes from 16 to 256 pixels.
Does a set use up many files?
No. One picture in, one set out, one file counted, however many sizes it holds. With a free account you can make 20 a day, from pictures up to 500 MB.
Which icon goes where on my website?
Browsers show the 32 pixel icon in tabs, phones use the 180 pixel one when someone adds the site to a home screen, and Android uses 192 and 512. Your site builder's help pages say where to upload them.
Is Filebender free?
Yes, with a free account: 20 files every day (up to 2 of them videos), each up to 500 MB, with no watermark and no ads. Make the account with Google or your email address. Files converted on your device count the same way as the rest. If you need more, a Day, Week or Month Pass is one payment that never renews; see the Pricing page.
What happens to my files?
It depends on the file. Pictures your browser can convert itself, and everything you do with the PDF tools, from merging and splitting PDFs to putting photos into one, are handled on your device and never leave it, unless you choose to send a file to Filebender's servers. They still need your account: Filebender receives only their type and size, to count them against your plan like any other file. Everything else is converted on Filebender's servers on Google Cloud and deleted an hour after the conversion finishes, or straight away when you press “Delete files now”. Nobody looks at your files, and they're never used for anything else.
