SVG to PNG
Render SVG drawings as crisp PNGs at the size you need.
An SVG is a drawing described as shapes, so it stays sharp at any size. A PNG is a grid of pixels that almost any app, document or social site accepts. Converting draws the shapes once, at the size you need, and keeps the transparent background.
Almost any file
Images, vector art, video, audio, documents, spreadsheets, slides, ebooks and archives: more than 400 conversions. Before anything runs, Filebender says what a conversion will lose and estimates the size of video, audio and many pictures; other files show their size once converted. It compresses PDFs, pictures and videos to the size you choose.
No ads, no watermarks
With a free account: 20 files a day, 2 of them videos, each up to 500 MB. No plan has ads, and nothing is stamped on your files. A pass is one payment that never renews, and one you haven't used can be refunded in full.
Private by default
Files are deleted an hour after converting, or at once when you ask, and photo location is removed unless you choose to keep it. Photos converted to JPG, PNG or WebP are done on your device when your browser can, so they never leave it. They still need your account and count towards your plan.
How to convert SVG to PNG
- Create a free account with Google or your email address, or sign in.
- Choose your SVG files: drop them on the box, pick them from your computer, open them from Google Drive, or paste a link.
- Pick the format each file should become. The gear button has size, quality and other settings.
- Press “Convert”, then download each file, or all of them in one ZIP.
Choosing the size
By default the PNG is the size the SVG declares for itself, from its width and height or its viewBox. Set a width, height, percentage or longest side in the settings and the shapes are drawn at that size from the start, so edges and lettering stay crisp instead of being stretched from a small picture.
What's removed first
Before drawing, Filebender takes out anything in the SVG that could run or fetch something: scripts, event handlers, embedded web pages and links to outside files. Pictures embedded inside the SVG stay.
Text is drawn with the fonts installed on Filebender's servers, so an unusual font may be replaced by a similar one. If the lettering must match, convert the text to outlines in your drawing program first.
Where it's converted
SVG files are always converted on Filebender's servers and deleted an hour after converting. Each PNG you make counts as one file: 20 a day with a free account, from SVGs up to 500 MB, or more with a pass.

Questions
Can I get a JPG instead?
Yes, choose JPG in the format list. JPG has no transparency, so the background is filled with white or the colour you pick.
Can I make icons from an SVG?
The Icon Set Maker makes every favicon or app icon size from one SVG, in a single ZIP. For a Windows ICO file, make a large PNG here first and turn it into an ICO with PNG to ICO.
How big can the PNG be?
Up to 16,384 pixels on a side, plenty for print. Very large sizes make big files, so pick the size you'll use.
Is Filebender free?
Yes, with a free account: 20 files every day (up to 2 of them videos), each up to 500 MB, with no watermark and no ads. Make the account with Google or your email address. Files converted on your device count the same way as the rest. If you need more, a Day, Week or Month Pass is one payment that never renews; see the Pricing page.
What happens to my files?
It depends on the file. Pictures your browser can convert itself, and everything you do with the PDF tools, from merging and splitting PDFs to putting photos into one, are handled on your device and never leave it, unless you choose to send a file to Filebender's servers. They still need your account: Filebender receives only their type and size, to count them against your plan like any other file. Everything else is converted on Filebender's servers on Google Cloud and deleted an hour after the conversion finishes, or straight away when you press “Delete files now”. Nobody looks at your files, and they're never used for anything else.
